Elia gets the all-clear
Hamburger SV were spared yet another damning injury blow with the news that Eljero Elia's injury from Saturday's match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 is not as serious as first feared.
It turns out that the Dutch attacker's ankle is "only" heavily bruised - it had been suspected he had suffered a torn ligament.
Labbadia hoping for speedy recovery
After being subsituted due to the injury after just 16 minutes, Elia underwent an MRI scan on Monday morning to determine the extent of the damage.
"Hopefully he'll be back in action before long," said HSV coach Bruno Labbadia.
