Will Werder celebrate again? They are currently unbeaten and lead in Group L
Europa League: Werder confident, HSV determined
The week has brought a mixed bag of results in European competition for Bundesliga teams so far, but with Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV on the brink of advancing to the next round of the UEFA Europa League, perhaps the best is yet to come. Even struggling Hertha BSC Berlin still have a realistic chance to stay in the competition.

Hamburger SV - Celtic FC

Bruno Labbadia's team collected a 1-0 victory in the Celtic Park last match and is determined to follow that up with another win at home this evening. HSV lost to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga on the weekend and is keen on returning to winning ways.

It's currently a tight affair in Group C and Celtic are under serious pressure to get a result, so it probably won't be easy for the northern Germans.

Kickoff is at 7pm CET.

SC Heerenveen - Hertha BSC Berlin

Struggling in the Bundesliga, perhaps Hertha can collect some confidence in Europe when traveling to the Netherlands today. But that shouldn't be their only aim. Even though they've only got one point under their belt after three matches, Friedhelm Funkel's team could still survive in the competition. A first step would be to exact revenge on Heerenveen for the unlucky 1-0 reverse in Berlin two weeks ago.

The personnel situation is causing Funkel some headaches though as Gojko Kacar and Pal Dardai are both injured and Patrick Ebert serves a one match suspension.

Kickoff is at 7pm CET.

Werder Bremen - FK Austria Wien

Despite a long injury list, Werder Bremen have every reason to be confident in their encounter against the Austrians. Skipper Torsten Frings is unavailable due to a thigh injury and top scorer Claudio Pizarro will miss out because of a bruise on his foot.

Other reconvalescents include Hugo Almeida and Marcelo Moreno, so Bremen will turn again to the in-form duo of Aaron Hunt and Mesut Özil. Should Werder win the match they'll definitely advance to the knock out stages.

Kickoff is at 9.05pm CET.
