Runs, scorers and a milestone
bundesliga.de presents all the top facts from matchday 11.
GOALS: There were 26 goals in total on matchday 11, an average of 2.88 per match. Werder Bremen's Aaron Hunt and Wolfsburg striker Obafemi Martins both notched a double apiece. Stefan Kiessling of Bayer Leverkusen and Bremen's Claudio Pizarro still head up the goalscorers' charts with seven. Andreas Ivanschitz of Mainz 05 and Kevin Kuranyi of Schalke 04 are next with six. There have been a total of 270 goals so far this season in the Bundesliga, scored by a total of 131 different players.
ATTACKERS: The most effective attacking player in the league is currently Mainz's Andreas Ivanschitz. The Austrian hitman has netted six times himself, as well as providing another five assists. He scored once again and set up another on matchday 11. Wolfsburg schemer Zvjezdan Misimovic is second with five goals and four assists - followed by Hamburg's Ze Roberto (5/2) and Stefan Kiessling (7/1) in third.
MILESTONE: Frankfurt defender Chris celebrated his 100th appearance in an Eintracht shirt in the 2-1 victory against VfL Bochum.
POOR START: Hertha BSC Berlin have endured the worst start in their history having picked up just four points from their opening 11 encounters. Their previous worst was a six point haul from the same amount of matches in 1963/64. Worse still, however, was MSV Duisburg's tally of just two points from 11 games in the 1994/95 season. They were duly relegated come the end of the campaign.
SURPRISE: Borussia Mönchengladbach grabbed only their ninth win in 42 Bundesliga attempts in Hamburg at the weekend. The Foals' last win in the northern harbour city came almost exactly 15 years ago, when goals from Peter Wynhoff and Thomas Kastenmeier were enough to secure the points in a 2-1 victory.
RUNS: Berlin have not managed a win in their last ten. Freiburg lost for the fourth time in a row. Bremen have not lost for ten matches. Wolfsburg are unbeaten in six.
