Thomas Müller (M.) has bagged three goals in the Bundesliga this season
"We made heavy weather of it"
Thomas Müller is the latest shooting star to emerge from the renowned Bayern München youth system.

In interview with bundesliga.de, the 20-year-old attacking talent talks about the weekend draw at southern rivals VfB Stuttgart and the upcoming Champions League game with Girondins Bordeaux.

bundesliga.de: Thomas Müller, what's your view of the goalless draw in Stuttgart?

Thomas Müller: It's certainly a pity we couldn't take better advantage of the situation, considering how the results went for the other top teams. A win would have helped us.

bundesliga.de: You did come close a few times...

Müller: That's true. We had a few chances, but didn't convert any of them into goals. We had one chalked off for offside, unfortunately, but I think that was a correct decision.

bundesliga.de: So that was two points lost?

Müller: Looking at Stuttgart's quality, we can live with taking a point off them. Three would have been better of course, but all-in-all, it has to be said, we made pretty heavy weather of it there.

bundesliga.de: That was rather evident. Does the absence of Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben make such a big difference to Bayern?

Müller: I wouldn't necessarily put it down to that alone. We played very well in Frankfurt, for example. It shouldn't be forgotten that Stuttgart brought in some good new players for this season. And they are still competing in the Champions League, after all.

bundesliga.de: Speaking of which, Robben could potentially have a key role to play in Tuesday's game against Bordeaux?

Müller: A player of his class is a great asset to a team, for sure. We'd be delighted if he was back for that one.
