Three wins, one draw
Three Bundesliga sides took on international opposition on Tuesday, with respectable results. Karlsruher SC confidently beat a German third-flight outfit.


Lech Posen - Werder Bremen 2:3 (1:2)

Werder finally celebrated their first win in 2009, having lost their opening three test games.

New signing Alexandros Tziolis opened the scoring for Werder with a quick-fire brace (24, 27).

Stilic (43, 60) equalised for Lech before Claudio Pizarro made sure of the win 16 minutes from time.

KSC put in a convincing performance in their penultimate mid-season break test game.

Christian Timm (11) and Joshua Kennedy (18) gave Karlsruhe a 2-0 half-time lead against the third-flight club.

Edmond Kapllani (56), Lars Stindl (58) and Alexander Iashvili (89) added three more after the break.

Cologne won their last test match in the training camp against FC Vaduz, coached by Cologne legend Pierre Littbarski.

Adil Chihi scored the winner after 63 minutes, and skipper Milivoje Novakovic's return from injury also was good news for Cologne.
