Bayern's new signing Massimo Oddo (R) with head coach Jürgen Klinsmann
Rummenigge rules out further transfers
After signing Massimo Oddo, German champions FC Bayern won't sign any further players in this transfer window, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge declared on German TV channel "Premiere" on Saturday.
"The board is convinced that the squad is strong enough for the upcoming games in Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League", Rummenigge said.
A further analysis of the situation -- and possible new transfers -- would only happen in the winter break.
No fourth striker
Sporting director Uli Hoeneß had earlier gone on record by saying that Bayern might sign more players before the end of the transfer window.
But Rummenigge declared that Bayern would be well positioned with the three strikers Luca Toni, Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski, and that a fourth striker would only rock the boat.
