Klose out of Ivory Coast game
Striker Miroslav Klose will be out of the national team's last game of the year against the Ivory Coast in Gelsenkirchen as a precautionary matter, following the ongoing quarantine of his children due to swine flu.
Klose, who plays for Bayern Munich is unavailable to play the Ivorians through 'security reasons', while his children remain in quarantine in Munich because of swine flu.
Precautionary measure
'We want to point out, that Miroslav has shown none of the symptoms associated with swine flu. In order to minimalise the risk of spreading the influenza, we have decided on Sunday that Miroslav should stay at home', said DFB media director Harald Stenger.
The German squad had assembled in Hannover on Sunday for the funeral of national keeper Robert Enke before returning to their headquarters in Düsseldorf during the evening.
