Bruno Labbadia has not seen his HSV side win in four matches now.
Labbadia: "A bitter result for us"
bundesliga.de presents the coaches views in the aftermath of matchday 12.

Werder Bremen 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Thomas Schaaf (Werder Bremen): Both teams gave their all and that made for a gripping game. We wanted to win of course, but I think a draw was probably a fair result. In the second half our passing accuracy deteriorated and Dortmund profited as a result.

Jürgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund): I'm not disappointed with a point, even though maybe we could have taken more from the match. I think we can travel back to Dortmund with our heads held high. We weren't up to scratch in the first half and you can't afford that in Bremen.

Hertha BSC 0-1 1. FC Köln

Friedhelm Funkel (Hertha BSC): It was a very, very disappointing defeat for us and in my view it was undeserved. The team did everything they were told to. They were aggressive and energetic, but in the end we lost 1-0. It's a bitter blow. Things aren't looking to good for us at the moment. We're down, but certainly not out and I'm convinced we can make up the points to survive.

Zvonimir Soldo (1. FC Köln): It was a typical game between two teams fighting for survival. We didn't play particularly good football, but mentally we were strong. In the first half we lost the ball too much and that put us under pressure. It wasn't the best game to watch but I'm not going to apologise because we got the win.

Hannover 96 2-2 Hamburger SV

Andreas Bergmann (Hannover 96): It was a lucky draw for us. HSV were the better side and we struggled to stop their passing game. We showed good character, but even I wouldn't have given that penalty at the end.

Bruno Labbadia (Hamburger SV): That was a bitter result for us. You have to pay them credit for the way they approached the game, but that makes it all the more annoying that we didn't get the win in the end.

Bayern München 1-1 FC Schalke 04

Louis van Gaal (Bayern München): It was our aim to beat Schalke and unfortunately we didn't manage that. We didn't play well in the first ten minutes but then we dominated. We had chances but we couldn't find the target. That needs to chance. It's frustrating that we didn't score in the second half because we certainly deserved to.

Felix Magath (Schalke 04): I'm very pleased with the result and indeed the way the players approached the game. We played to our strengths. I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't have the courage to attack after such a promising opening. In the second half we were under a lot of pressure, but we defended well and didn't give them much of a sniff, so I think 1-1 was probably a fair outcome.

Borussia Mönchengladbach 0-0 VfB Stuttgart

Michael Frontzeck (Borussia Mönchengladbach): We had more of the chances and we should have got the victory. It's not often that you get five or six chances against Stuttgart and you need to make one of the count.

Markus Babbel (VfB Stuttgart): We can live with a point, especially considering our poor start to the match. We controlled the match as it progressed without ever really putting them under pressure. We were lacking a bit of mental freshness but that's surprising when you've had a week like we've had.

1. FSV Mainz 05 1-0 1. FC Nürnberg

Thomas Tuchel (1. FSV Mainz 05): Obviously I'm really pleased with the win. We played very well in the first half, but in the second half you could tell we had it all to lose. Still, we gave it our all and it's the three points that count.

Michael Oenning (1. FC Nürnberg): We created our own demise today. We never really got into the game in the first half, but in the second I thought we deserved more. Peer Kluge's goal shortly before the end was clearly onside, but it's no good moaning about that now.

1899 Hoffenheim 1-2 VfL Wolfsburg

Ralf Rangnick (1899 Hoffenheim): That match goes to prove that it isn't enough to play well for just half the game. We were poor in the first quarter an hour of the second half, so all in all we probably deserved to lose the match.

Armin Veh (VfL Wolfsburg): I knew that it wasn't going to be easy after our Champions League exploits. We were up against an aggressive side and we found it difficult to implement our passing game. The second half was completely different, though, and that's why we deserved the win.

VfL Bochum 1-2 SC Freiburg

Heiko Herrlich (VfL Bochum): Of course I'm disappointed to have lost against a team that we really should have beaten. We were asleep for the first goal, it looked like boys against men. In the second half I thought we deserved our equaliser, but it was frustrating that we were unable to grab a second at that point.

Robin Dutt (SC Freiburg): That was an important victory for us. We had a pretty emotional week. It wasn't easy to prepare following the death of our president, Achim Stocker. But hats off to the lads, even if the goal right at the end was a tad on the lucky side.

Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Jupp Heynckes (Bayer Leverkusen): The team picks things up quickly. Against Schalke we let what should have been a comfortable lead slip, but today the lads put in an intelligent second half display to back up an excellent first half.

Michael Skibbe (Eintracht Frankfurt): We were steamrollered in the first 15 minutes. We were scared to play our own game. Aside from Pirmin Schwegler, the team didn't perform. We're going to have to work hard at our game over the next one or two years if we are going to keep up with the competition in the Bundesliga.
