Bundesliga continues partnership with ESPN in Brazil
DFL Sports Enterprises has sold its Bundesliga TV rights in further international core markets. In the upcoming seasons (2009/2010 to 2011/12), three broadcasters, including the leading cable television network ESPN, will show Bundesliga matches in Brazil.

Disney s sports channel will broadcast up to three live matches as well as a round-up of weekend highlights. In addition, the TV networks Band Sports and Esporte Interativo will ensure that German professional soccer gets extensive coverage throughout the Brazilian market.

DFL Sports Enterprises furthermore continues its established partnership with Mexican broadcaster TVC Deportes Sports Channel. All parties have agreed to treat the license fees confidential.

"Enormous boost"

"Mexico and Brazil are due to their size and great enthusiasm for soccer the most important markets in Latin America. The new deals, especially the ones in Brazil, give Bundesliga an enormous boost and a strong position on all important platforms," says Dr. Robert Niemann, CEO of DFL Sports Enterprises.

Stars from Latin-America

"The Bundesliga is one of the most popular leagues in Brazil as well as in Mexico due to its history of well-known Latin-American soccer players and also current players such as Grafite, Josué, Lucio and Osorio. The excellent TV ratings and the improved commercial terms demonstrate the popularity of German soccer in Latin-America," says Jörg Daubitzer, COO of DFL Sports Enterprises.
